I visited the Snipe for their new open mic night hosted by Jo-Jo events with Kate the licensee front of house. The bar staff are lovely . I didn’t eat but everything looked delicious. They’ve got an impressive selection of ales on tap. Decorated for Haloween the decor is pleasing and comfortable. There are cushions for the comfort of the guests. I was here for the music and what a show! If you made me walk the plank and forced me to make a criticism I’d like a smooth draft bitter but the bottled beers are legion and the landlady has promised me an old peculiar on my next visit. Recently held a Charity Event at the Pub. Great Staff, venue and food. Everyone who attended said they had a great time and are looking forwards to the next one. Thanks to everyone involved for a great night.

Despite checking the website for opening times, it was shut more than an hour after the published time. Telephoned to ask when they would be open and spoke to a very confused gentleman who couldn't give me an exact time as they were "doing a deep clean". They're supposed to open at 1pm Mon to Thurs and noon Fri, Sat & Sun. It was Friday when we visited. They should have either altered the website to notify people of later opening or done the deep clean earlier so it wouldn't interfere with opening times.

Turned up in 2 cars with family 1 hour after it stated it was open 2 of us left the car to see was it open it wasn't so we waited 5/10 minutes in the car to see did it open it didnt so we went else where, a week later we recieved to parking tickets because we didnt sign in on there pads inside, how do you sign in when its closed, we rang up to dispute the tickets and they didnt want to know, absolutely rediculous. You want to try opening when you say you will and stop robbing people
