Right at City Center of Durham Beautiful lovely resturant not fancy or brilliant designed Just the warm fish and chips resturant I used to be in UK Staff are super nice and caring. Love that. Good are gorgeous, fresh cod and lovely served May be I am not the type of the fries fans and I am too fancy of crispy style. So it’s not my type. But I can say it’s def good fries u can have. My portion is good and large. Cant manage to order prawn cocktail and sweets. Great spot to stop by and walk around the market in the weekend

‘Proper Fish & Chips’ just as they say on their signage. Desserts are traditionally northern with a selection of hot puddings (they also have cheesecake, ice cream, etc). The staff are super friendly and professional. Whenever we visit our son at university we pay a visit to Bells, one of the best fish and chips restaurants (and takeaway) in the world.

A lovely place to eat if you like Fish and Chips done the proper way. We liked it so much we ate there twice during our stay in Durham. Everything beautifully cooked and well presented. We got here right before the lunch rush. We were seated right away on the first floor. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. Ordered the small cod which was plenty for a meal! It was so delicious. Some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had! Will definitely come back whenever I’m in Durham next.
