Came to this café for a quick snack and a drink. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. The caramel shortcake was disappointing. The base was really hard and it didn’t taste fresh — honestly, it tasted like it had been sat out for days. The caramel was chewy rather than soft, so it wasn’t enjoyable. My Diet Coke was flat with no fizz, which was another letdown. Overall, the service and atmosphere were great, but the food and drinks weren’t, so I probably wouldn’t come back

My friend and I visit this cafe often. Although a bit on the pricy side, always appreciated the nice service and ‘normally’ very friendly staff. Not this time, my friend ordered a scone after our lunch, so I asked for a little extra hot water to be added to our pot of tea. Was told in a very flippant and offensive manner, that normally I should pay for this, but I’ll be let off this time. What a way to treat seniors, to be made feel like a cheater. Not happy.

Decided to visit for a late lunch having not been here in many years. The overall experience was average, but the pricing is high for what you get. £7.95 for a small-ish Panini or baguette with a small side salad. I appreciate the cost of living has increased a lot in recent years, but at that price there is no value. Certainly won’t be rushing back anytime soon.
