Chris Marsland★★Interesting place, half full on a Friday December night so mainly out of necessity, I rolled the dice… Staff nice enough, no atmosphere strangely, main bug bare was the value for money though. Steak frites best part of £30 - rib eye thickness of sirloin, stingy with chips and salad was the same as with the haggis spring rolls… Asked to speak to the chef but told they were both busy clearing down, so was given the email of the owner.

M L★★★This is one of the popular cafes in Edinburgh Bruntsfield area. We came by for lunch on a weekday, and were surprised by the wait time for a table. Best to have reservation. Food quality was disappointing. The beef brisket sandwiches came out less than optimal. The beef was stringy and tough.. I mostly pull and cut them up to eat. The matured cheddar could do a bit more. The hummus and chargrilled vegetable sandwich was dominated by the sweet onion chutney, which IMHO didn’t balance well in overall flavors.
