I have been to many pubs in my time but this was among the very best pub experiences ever. Dirty Dick's is a rather small, rustic-comfy pub on Rose Street that charms you with dim lighting, stone floors and candlelit tables. I was immediately greeted with a smile by the lovely staff and got to look through the extensive food menu. Which, I might add, comes stapled into an old-fashioned cartoon book! Had the pleasure of stumbling into Dirty Dicks around dinner time a Sunday evening at the end of Rose Street. Worth the walk, definetly a recommendation and will return on next visit to Edinburgh! A wonderful small pub with a very cozy atmosphere. Good seating, couple of friendly chaps behind the bar and most importantly (for us) a very comfortable noise level. Great food, especially the Haggis Bonbons 🤤

We have mixed reviews about this place. You order and pay at the bar (both food and drinks) and will then be delivered to your table. There is indoor and outdoor seatinf. Food was average, atmosphere and wall decor was pretty cool. The mixed review comes in that the staff behind the bar seemed more interested in shooting the breeze with each other rather than taking care of the customers/bar. Tables were left with glasses on them long after people left and tables were never wiped off.
