I had high hopes for this place after hearing about their famous pastries, but I left a bit disappointed. I ordered one of their traditional steak pastries expecting generous pieces of meat, but it turned out to be mostly filled with potatoes. The pastry itself was nicely baked and golden crispy, but the filling felt unbalanced. It tasted like I was just eating carbs with the occasional small bit of steak. It wasn’t terrible, but it definitely didn’t live up to the hype.

Enjoyed the most delicious freshly toasted panini - a Ham Hough, here for take away. I am a ham and cheese expert of sorts, sampling them everywhere I go… It was truly amazing, in fact I shared a bite with my entire family who were all completely enamored with my sandwich. I will be going back for another soon! This is now in top spot for best ham and cheese ever. It has a very mild mustard on this perfectly flavored sandwich.

I ordered a pie and was asked if I wanted a hot one. They took a cold pie and microwaved it so when I got it the pastry was greasy and chewy and alternate mouthfuls were either burning hot or still cold. Really disappointing. If your business is based on selling nice pies and pasties don't ruin them in a microwave or of you must at least tell the customer that hot = microwaved beforehand so they know it will be substandard.
