Had an amazing meal at Maki Ramen on Leith Street and honestly it’s my favourite Maki Ramen branch out of all of them! The food, service, and location were all excellent. We ordered a few starters to share, followed by the chicken yakisoba, katsu curry, and steak ramen, and every dish was absolutely delicious. The portions were generous, the flavours were spot on, and everything arrived fresh and beautifully presented. One thing that really stood out was the great range of halal options on the menu. Not only was the ramen excellent, the restaurant is beautifully decorated and I loved the cute drawings on the sticky notes covering the walls! The server was also very nice and humorous. My favourite was the black garlic ramen, the broth was rich and not too salty! Definitely would recommend this place.

I visited Maki & Ramen in St James Quarter today with my best friend, who has a severe citrus allergy. We know that's it's not a widely recognised allergy since it's so uncommon, but the service we received from the staff to make sure everything we ordered was safe was phenomenal — even down to checking with us about traces and artificial citrus flavourings in the drinks. The food was delicious and no allergic reactions were had thanks to the fantastic staff that served us today. Thank you for being so attentive, diligent, and patient with us and our million questions!

We ordered the Spicy Chicken Teriyaki Rice, Steak Tataki Ramen, and Chicken Ramen, and everything was absolutely delicious, especially the rice and chicken. The chicken was wonderfully crispy and fresh, and the broth of the chicken ramen was incredible. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming, particularly the Asian lady. The gentleman seemed a bit tired, but overall, the prices are reasonable and the interior is charming.
