part of the wetherspoons brand. great location right by waverley station. great for meal and drink deals - probably one of the cheapest options in the city. some of the food is pretty good! we really liked the hummus starter and the chicken in jack daniel’s sauce starter!

It’s very standard Weatherspoon pub. So the food is ok, the drink is cheap. The location is brilliant, right next to Edinburgh Waverley Station, two minutes walk from the station. Of course, it was the booking office for Edinburgh Waverley Station, but now it’s Weatherspoon pub. Follow the direction to Waverley Bridge from the station, it is very short uphill walk, only two minutes.

I can understand a pub getting busy. But there should really be more staff. Came here for a quick drink, had to wait over 20 minutes after ordering on the mobile app for my drink to arrive. With that in mind, I instantly ordered my food as I wasn’t ready to wait another 20 minutes. Very unprofessional service. Food comes, Fish and Chips. But no drink. I ask the bar and they say you will have to wait. It’s was only a pint of Carlsberg. I’ve finished my food and then my drink arrives. I’ve never had this before. I visited this branch of Wetherspoons on a Sunday morning in late October. Upon arrival just after 9am there were a few people already in the venue but it wasn’t overly busy. Found myself a small table and took a seat. I placed my order using the app it’s highly convenient especially when you’re a solo diner. Opted for the Scottish breakfast with extras of haggis and a hash brown. Have to say Scottish breakfast choices at Wetherspoons is far better than what you get in England!
