Had always passed this place over the years and finally visited on a Saturday afternoon. Nice interior and mentioned in a few Alexander McCall Smith books. Just a little souless that afternoon....someone walked in and was asked how he was... he replied 'Well I woke up this morning so that's a start...". Nearby Kays Bar has more life.

Tried the best scotch of my life here! Had a riot playing Jumbo Jenga on a quiet weeknight. The bar staff takes great care - even remembered our drink preferences on the second visit. The manager Ari is an absolute gem. Music selection on point. Definitely worth a visit.

A fantastic traditional pub with a good selection of alcohoicl beverages. I visited a couple of times during the seasonal break and enjoyed the friendly and polite customer service. An enjoyable friendly environment where you can meet people to engage in polite conversation. Dog friendly too. There is an outside covered area where you can have a drink and smoke which means a lot to customers who have their own individual method of relaxing. The interior is very pleasing with antiques adorning the various areas. Competitive prices too .Highly recommended.

Pleasant city centre bar. The beer is good and the staff are friendly and efficient. Had to return a pint because it was at the bottom of the barrel and the barman was happy to change it. This is a good sign that they care about their customers. Booth seating is a nice and comfortable.
