Was hearing to a different pub after a long walk but was hungry so by chance stopped at this one instead. And boy what a great decision that was. Lovely big garden, good selection of beers and not the basic ones you find in every pub these days. Ordered the sharing Sunday roast woth 3 types of meat and that was one of the best roasts I had in a long time. Happy to go out of my way to end up in the place by chance again.

This pub has been a long favourite of ours and we regularly visit for the Quiz nigh on a Tuesday, but have been popping in at other times too. The atmosphere is fun and lively, the staff are super friendly and welcoming and drinks and food are always excellent! I see some reviews saying they run out of certain foods at times but I say its a sign of good turnover and the crew are always able to make menu recommendations.

Highly recommend a visit for good food & selection of beers. We were staying in the area & wanted a couple of pints & some food. It was rammed on Friday night & we understood why! Emily served us & she had such a gorgeous genuine smile, if she was my daughter I would be so proud. Nothing was too much trouble & we were so grateful she recommended the fish & chips the batter was cooked to perfection. No gooey bits, just dark & crispy, oh lovely fish too! Perfect chips. One of the best fish & chips we’ve had. The selection of craft beer was huge & a lovely brown ale. I only have 3* for atmospher

lovely service and really delicious food- the roasts are very generous portions and high quality ingredients, other items on the menu have been similarly well thought out every time we’ve been and very reasonably priced. good range of drinks and lovely atmosphere- family friendly and dog friendly! they provide treats and water bowls which is a lovely touch. will be returning again soon…
