Very clean room, comfy bed and tasty fresh breakfast. The hotel is really just a no frills bed and breakfast. It does not serve evening meals at all. Room has a fan, thankfully because of the record temperatures but discovered the radiators were still on and warm! Could do with a fridge, and even glasses in the bathroom. Lovely shower by the way. No phone in the room and reception not manned 24/7.

A wonderfully relaxing stay at The Northwick Arms Hotel in Evesham, right on the River Avon. My room (12) was spacious, with an enormous bathroom and plentiful hot water - always a treat 🛀 The hotel dates back to the 15th century and has some beautiful touches, including a celestial stained-glass ceiling and a cosy snug with a great selection of books - perfect for unwinding. The riverside setting is ideal. I enjoyed all my meals al fresco and even managed an easy walk to parkrun on the Saturday morning. Absolutely Disgusting – Avoid at All Costs This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I booked a premium room but was given a dirty, smelly room. Towels were left all over the corridor at 8 p.m., which is completely unhygienic. The receptionist, Sony, was extremely rude and raised her voice for no reason. When I asked simple questions about my room and the elevator, she snapped at me and told me I should have “read about the hotel before booking.” The owner, who was sitting at reception, was just as rude and unhelpful. This old hotel could be a spectacular place if only it had a few million pounds invested in a total refurb. There is a lovely courtyard with multiple benches and some nice planting to sit outside. (Dont look out of the windows on the other side of the building to the lovely courtyard though... this is next door and is a large empty yard with various industrial waste bins which have obviously overflowed many times and no one has bothered to clean up.) The public parts are in much better shape than our room (see room details). I guess that, those and, perhaps, the 'premium' rooms may have bene
