Brilliant place to eat, great food every time I've been here. I've never been disappointed with any of Wagamama's food, at any branch. Today was my first time dining at the Exeter Central branch, as I have been waiting months to get in, only because every time I've attempted to in the past the queue has been out of the door. Clearly very popular. I ordered the hot fried chicken wings, bao buns and the steak teriyaki soba. Visited today and had a great experience. The food was fresh, flavourful, and arrived quickly, exactly what you want. Portions were generous and everything tasted spot on. The atmosphere was relaxed and lively, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and efficient without rushing us. Really good location in the centre of Exeter, making it an easy stop after a day out. Consistently reliable and a great place to eat

The recipes have really changed, and not for the better. I had a grilled chicken ramen...very poor. I had to add a lot of soy sauce, chilli oil and chilli flakes to get some flavour. The chicken was tasty but chewy and the noodles overcooked and tasteless. I honestly don't know what was in the duck gyoza and accompanying sauce!! The edamame beans were ok, but not enough seasoning 😭. Service as usual was excellent and the Soul Club app meant I got the beans FOC. Nice pint of draft Asahi. Had a really great experience at Wagamama. The service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing, and everything arrived quickly. The food and drinks were spot on — fresh, well-balanced, and full of flavour. The standout for me was the saku saku duck soba, which was genuinely excellent. The duck was perfectly crispy, and it paired brilliantly with the sauce and noodles. Easily one of the best dishes I’ve had there. Overall, a really enjoyable visit. I’ll definitely be back.
