First time we have tried the Octogon (shame on us, we only live 9 miles away) it was delicious. My wife had the prawn & crayfish sandwich which she said was really good, I went with the Korean chicken burger.. beautiful. The service and atmosphere was just right. It's a smaller place right on the beach .. perfect. We always like to support local independent businesseson talking to the server (sorry didn't get her name my bad) ingredients locally sourced the ciabatta is made about 2 minutes walk away ...just a really nice lunch ... definitely be going back to try more of the menu 👏👏👏👏👏👏.

Nice location on the seafront with great views of the sea and beach. Asked to wait in lobby whilst a table was cleared, not a problem as the restaurant isn't spacious. Nice, clean interior and not cramped. Lovely fresh battered fish burger, fries, side salad and small pot of slaw on the side. The burger was delicious and ample for a lunchtime meal. My daughter had the prawn and Crayfish sandwich, and again was ample, well filled and had the same sides as mine but with a portion of hand cooked vegetable crisps which was a nice touch.

Thought this place was absolutely lovely. Interesting veggie options (I had a lovely butternut squash pasta) and everything I saw headed to other tables also looked and smelled amazing. The staff were attentive and everything was beautifully presented. And the sea view is glorious. A little gem!

What a wonderful find. We had an unexpected trip o Exmouth day, so we had a stroll along the seafront. And came across the Octagon restaurant. It was quite busy which is always a good sign. Lovely greeting from the waitress Mae. We can honestly say (and we've had a few) that the fish and chips were te best we've had in a while. The batter was crispy not at all soggy or oily. The fish must have just jumped out of the sea it as that fresh. We will definitely be back with family and friends.
