My daughter booked here for my birthday, and I had been passed thus place many of times, but never been in. So this was my first time here........the car park is quite big although was a little full with the after sunday league football beer crowd. The staff were friendly and the place was very clean with Thai place pictures on the walls. The menu had lots of dishes on there and I wanted to try them all as they all sounded scrummy. Been meaning to pay this place a visit for ages. Today took my fifteen year old niece who was thrilled to try something new. We were not disappointed. Been to Thailand many times. The food at Spice Merchant authentic and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place. The Phuket Thalay simply magnificent. Waitress very friendly/sweet and gave great service and advice. I visited the Spice Merchant on a weekday for lunch with my wife. We ordered from the fixed price lunchtime menu, which is extremely good value for money. The main a-la-carte menu is available at lunchtime, but we we happy with the options on the lunchtime menu. We were made welcome and the service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was relaxed, which was just right for lunchtime. We enjoyed the food. We had green and red curries for mains, and the deep fried ice cream desert was excellent. We plan to return!

I love the food here and there are loads of tasty options. The Phuket thalay is a yummy slightly spicy seafood dish, chicken with cashews also delicious. To be honest the mains are so good and so filling I haven't been able to make use of the starters menu. Often quiet, not a problem but low on atmosphere in that sense.
