We’ve been coming to Babur for a while now and it honestly never disappoints. The team are always welcoming, attentive and warm. The food is consistently brilliant too. Every dish feels really thoughtfully prepared with their own unique touch and approach, and you can tell a lot of care goes into what they do. All of this topped by a good drinks selection! If you’re looking for Indian food in South East London, this spot is definitely worth trying. They’ve got a solid lineup of fusion cocktails — and according to the adults, they were all a hit.We ordered quite a spread: butter chicken, dum biryani, veg thali, lamb chops, Rajasthani khargosh, beetroot kebab, garlic naan, rice, dal makhani, and dal tadka — and honestly, everything tasted really good. Only note: their non-veg dishes lean more into fusion, and it would be great to see that creativity come through a bit more in the vegetarian section too.

I had dinner with my daughter here, it was just fantastic, the service was impeccable, food was the best Indian food I've had in as long as I can remember, atmosphere was relaxing and we were able to have a meal at our own pace without feeling rushed. My bus to school took me past this place every day for 7 years and I always wondered what it was like inside. That tiger leaping off the roof was quite the landmark! Pleased to say I FINALLY visited and it loved up to expectations. Everything here is so well balanced and full of flavour, from the food to the cocktails this place is amazing. Truly authentic and different dishes mean you'll likely have something here you've never had elsewhere. Will definitely be coming back.
