Rose Simn★★★★A nice, clean and well-kept park overall, and a pleasant place to spend some time with the family. That said, a couple of things could be improved. Parking used to be free, but is now paid, which is a bit disappointing and takes away from the overall experience. The children’s play area could also do with some maintenance. Mohamad★★★★★Gedling Country Park is one of Nottinghamshire’s most enjoyable outdoor spaces, offering a well-balanced mix of scenic walking routes, open countryside, and accessible facilities. Built on the former Gedling Colliery site and opened in 2015, the park spans around 580 acres, providing plenty of room for exploration, relaxation, and exercise. At key points—especially near the car park, visitor centre, and central lagoon—you’ll find large, clear map boards

The paths are wide enough for vans to drive down and there are plenty of passing places available if you need to give yourself more space. Beware some of the paths allow dogs off lead, although refreshingly everyone I passed was able to recall their dogs and put them on leads when n
Donna Bates★★★★★Clean clear paths. Plenty of information boards with points of interest. Very busy but plenty of parking spaces. Ringo parking at a reasonable price compared to some £2.40 all day
