We visited for dinner one Friday. We found The Tudor Rose to be a friendly and cosy pub with good food and friendly staff. It has a pleasant local feel. The pub itself is an amazing historic building on a beautiful cobbled street leading down to Upnor Castle and the river Medway. Although we didn't use it ourselves, we were impressed by the huge enclosed beer garden, which backs onto the castle walls. Definitely recommended.

Really mixed reviews unfortunately!! I have wanted to come to this place since last year and thought today was a lovely sunny day. Lovely friendly welcome from a young lady all in black, piercings and blond hair. She explained there was a plant based menu and we chose to sit in the garden. Lovely and tidy and well kept. They allowed for kids to have a plant based option which was lovely and most places don't have an option so I was impressed. Downside was menu online on nearly all options were £4 cheaper but the print out was apparently the price to pay. This ended up being a little more p

Some of the worst food we have ever had from a pub Staff members could have been a bit more welcoming but were nice. The atmosphere was nice and it could be such a lovely place but we payed over £200 for a table of 3 for some of the worst food I have experienced. Would be better going literally anywhere else!
