Had a birthday meal with my partner last Saturday night, booked for 8. It was very busy so the atmosphere was a bit loud wirh the music and talking. I had scallops and haggis bon bons to start which were very good, followed by halibut. I was a little disappointed not to get the lobster bisque but the putanesca sauce was not a bad alternative. My partner had whitebait to start which was ok, a wee bit dry in my opinion and then mussels which were a bit chewy. I’m eating here right now. Visiting from Canada. Ended up being here on my own because my husband wasn’t feeling well but that wasn’t an issue as this is a great place to eat on your own. The atmosphere is lively and busy. The service is exceptional and friendly (which in my experience is not common in Scotland). Finally, the food is great. I’m vegetarian. They adapted a meal nicely and without hassle for me. The focaccia is incredible. Thanks from Canada!

Excellent food - the crab and avocado crostini was just impeccable and the linguine with scallops was packed with flavour! Unfortunately no room for dessert but gives us valid excuse to return again! Service was quick and friendly, can’t wait to return.

First of all the staff are lovely can’t complain about that. Didn’t like the fact that I had a speaker be-hide me playing music right in my ear. But the food needs ATTENTION!! Mozzarella sticks were slighty warm. The Sunday roast honestly it was a mess for my mum to eat. Far too much on the plate and the Yorkshire pudding is full of gravy so when she cut it total overflow on her plate and split all over the table. I had beef ragu and that’s not what I got!! It was more like mince, very dry didn’t enjoy. Sticky toffee pudding again not hot enough so we only ate the ice cream and toffee sauce b
