We'd a quieter table for the 6 of us - allowed discussion. Service staff were polite, friendly, and efficient. The food was tasty, the drink good but maybe a wee bit expensive. The atmosphere in this old Victorian building with original features was pleasant.

Nice venue with a pleasant atmosphere, although it was quite noisy during our visit. The food was good overall, but nothing particularly memorable. The sirloin steak was flavorful and probably the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the waiter who served us came across as somewhat rude, which affected the overall experience.

Out of everything I ate during my holiday to Scotland - the haggis bon bons I ate here at The Citizen are still number 1. We were a group of 5 and had dinner here after arriving in Glasgow our first night. We were fortunate that they were able to seat us given we had no reservation and the restaurant was extremely busy. The ambience is beautiful - so stunning and classic. The drink and dinner menu is comprehensive - great for a group of different budgets and preferences. The food and drinks here were all great and the staff were so friendly. Unfortunately it was fairly slow, our drinks did not

We spent a Sunday afternoon at The Citizen and ordered the Roast Sirloin of Scottish beef with Yorkshire pudding, crispy roasties, mash and rich gravy… the portion was massive and cooked perfectly. Starters were just as good. Haggis bon bons with whisky cream, bacon butter Shetland mussels with sourdough, and we finished with sticky toffee pudding and their mocha edition dessert.😍😋 The place was busy but the service was great and the cocktails were delicious! Highly recommend it!
