Absolutely love The Fat Hippo in Jesmond. My wife and I are in Newcastle every year and have made it a tradition to go here every time we're here. The service is very friendly, the atmosphere is cosy and welcoming, the food was cooked and out really quick and the taste was out of this world. This time was the first time going after my wife got diagnosed with celiac disease but they did not disappoint. It was the best gluten free burger she has ever had. If you're ever in the area please go and try it. They are amazing. And don't even get me started on the desserts.

The food was really good! We got the Trash Browns and Freddies Fingers and there were ridiculously delicious! Would go back just for the starters again. We then ordered 2 different chicken burgers with waffle fries, again delicious, big portions. Staff were friendly and attentive

Was really looking forward to coming here as people say it's fantastic! However my experience wasn't great! My wife's chicken burger came out really cold and when she got it replaced, it felt as if the chef was upset about it and just threw her second burger together from a distance! My kids didn't really enjoy it and didn't finish their meals! Mine was pretty average at best! We all ordered chunky chips and we all received fries! The starters were okay but the onion rings were really nice and the only reason I've scored the food as high as 2 stars! The service was far too fast, barely took th
