We had a truly fabulous lunch at the Angel & Royal this week. As always, the experience was outstanding from start to finish. The staff are exceptional — warm, attentive, and effortlessly professional — creating such a welcoming atmosphere that makes every visit feel special. Lovely Hotel in the centre of Grantham, full of charm and quirky points. If you’re looking for chain hotel uniformity this is not the place for you. All staff friendly and attentive, rooms a great size, breakfast is exactly as pictured and freshly cooked to your order. Car park is a slight mystery tour, don’t whizz past it as you’re in a one way system. Happily stay again.

Just celebrated my Dad's 80th birthday. We had a private meal in the King's room. The food was outstanding. The service provided by staff was amazing. Quiet and clean room, but there is no central heating system or AC. The hotel needs maintenance, floor boards in room were creaky, furniture sofa sinks in when you sit on it & furniture is old and creaky. Colour scheme of rooms needs changing as the rooms are bright yellow and black! Neutral colours work better. Lounge is small with green sofas & hotel bar is a dark room like a cave! Staff very helpful & location is good for seeing Belvoir castle & site seeing..
