As a family, we enjoy good food and eating out when on holiday. It was quiet (3 tables) when we were there, but the food was amazing and rivals London restaurants. Lilypad exceeded our expectations when we visited for lunch. Every dish that we ordered was top-notch in taste (this should be how fusion cuisine is done - simply, unpretentious and full of flavour!). Lilypad's menu offered something for all food preferences, from vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian to hearty meat eaters (very handy for our family member who had severe food allergies), without compromising on variety and taste. Harrogate’s best restaurant. If you want great food- go here! I miss London a lot and it definitely feeds that need for a bit more of a fun and diverse crowd, easy going and chilled pub. With surprisingly high end unique and delicious food while still feeling like your welcoming local. A dream team as well! We Love it so much, we decided to have our engagement party here. Came here for lunch when the restaurant was fairly quiet, with only two or three tables occupied including ours. The waiter was very friendly, but unfortunately the food service was a major letdown. We ordered five dishes and it took around 20 minutes per dish to come out. It took nearly an hour just for the fries and duck to arrive. After we mentioned the delay, we were told the food was being worked on, the kitchen staff appeared to be chatting rather than busy. I've always loved the Lilypad, it's food, atmosphere and relaxed welcoming approach. I personally have two dog's which on occasion I take with me and are equally welcomed with treats at the bar and an ever full water bowl! Indeed it is a rarity to have such a welcoming establishment whether on two legs or four. Highly recommend trying this wonderful establishment for yourselves can't recommend it enough
