I have only ONE problem with George's ... it's at the top of my road and I have to resist the temptation to eat from them every day 🤣🤣 Their kebabs, shish and doner are devine, with lots of yummy salads accompanying them. Personally, I also love Rock Eel and chips. I have never known it not be cooked fresh for me, I guess it's an acquired taste! Beautifully cooked and very yummy. My favourite "go to" dinner is a fishcake and chip buttie 😁 Again, usually cooked fresh for me, put in a buttered bun with ketchup and a few chips on the top of the fishcake. We ordered two cod and chips to finish our vacation with a typical UK dish. Unfortunately, the chips were very soft and soggy … not crispy at all. The paper was completely soaked with oil. The fish, however, was good. I would not recommend this place to travelers.

Top blokes in here who have truly earned the bossman title. Honestly one of the best chippies around, cod is always fresh and you can’t go wrong with chippie tea from here on a Friday. These guys are safe and friendly and truly know how to run a good chippie. Keep up the good work guys!
