Came here after seeing it on a best gastropubs list. Fab location and friendly service. The food was a bit of a mixed bag though. The crab starter was tasty, but the roast pork belly had its ups and downs. The broccoli was al dente, the pork belly was mediocre, but the roast potatoes was another story in itself. And the gravy… let’s just say it left me pondering what makes a truly great gravy. All in all, it did get me thinking about what makes a really good roast. Sadly, I didn’t find the answer here. Soz

There is a reason this is one of the most highly regarded gastropubs with the best Sunday roast in London. Highly recommend the Côte de beouf. Perfectly cooked with all the trimmings and an excellent frozen marg for those lazy Sundays.

I met a dear friend for dinner, I hadn't seen in about a year. It's just down the road from where he lives and Highgate, and it's a perfect place to catch up over a meal and a few drinks. Our service was excellent. The food was wonderful.

Best roast I’ve had in London. Great food, friendly staff and amazing atmosphere. Even better, they were dog friendly! Heath was a fantastic host and made sure we were all well looked after. We will definitely be back
