We had the most incredible evening tonight and I just had to share our experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff went completely out of their way to welcome us — not just us, but our two dogs as well. We’ve honestly never been anywhere where the team was so genuinely friendly, warm, and attentive. It immediately set the tone for what turned out to be such a special night. It was actually our dog’s birthday, and the staff made it unforgettable. I went here for a roast dinner expecting a lot and was disappointed. The staff and restaurant are lovely but the food is lacking. I preferred the 1/2 chicken roast and was told I could have this a a 1/2 portion but when I asked for the breast part was told they didn’t know what I’d get. Food had clearly been microwaved as it arrived within 20 minutes if my order and the plate was hot The food was nice but the roasties were soft due to being microwaved and the cauliflower cheese was watery and very sweet for some reason. Did to cost of over £25 due to service charge, I wouldn’t go again

This is a very late review, but we visited here with a friend and my family 3years ago. The food here was amazing. It's a bit pricey, but the food is really delicious. Nicely laid out atmosphere too. Would love to come back.

It was our first visit to The Red Deer and we were really impressed. We found it friendly and welcoming. Our server Josie was very helpful. The service was fast and the food (we all had roast dinners but didn’t have starters or puddings) was excellent. Not the best roast potatoes ever but the meat was superb and worth returning for plus a nice selection of accompaniments.
