Visited What a Shot in Leicester and overall it has a really good atmosphere. The decor gives a high end, modern vibe and it is a nice place to chill whether you are in a small or larger group. There is a good selection of beers on tap and lots of screens around the venue which makes it great for watching sports. The staff were attentive, welcoming and provided really good service. It did feel like there was a higher staff to table ratio when we visited, which definitely worked in our favour, although most tables were clearly reserved for later on. Above all, the cuisine was of the highest quality, and the standards of hygiene were perfect. It was evident from every taste that the kitchen staff takes tremendous pride in their work. The presentation was stunning, and the flavours were well balanced. You'll be happy with the meal options here whether you're a food fanatic or have a picky pallet. The atmosphere in "What a Shot" is also worth mentioning. The restaurant has a warm vibe that makes it ideal for both big parties and private dining. Good food and atmosphere but sadly let down by one member of staff that was garnishing the dishes as they were coming out of the kitchen. Long black hair hanging over the hot food and no gloves on for placing garnishes. She seemed like she was in a bad mood, maybe one of the managers, looked like she was angry with the staff too and was wearing jeans and trainers.

I came here with family while staying in Leicester. We had a really nice meal the food was amazing and really fresh. My only downside was that they close a bit early on a Saturday night. Make sure you are seated and ordered but 9!. There is a whole vegan menu and loads of meat and veggie options.
