What a charming little.place in Inverness. Lovely atmosphere, great staff and great food. Food was well balanced and tasty. The flavors complimented each other well. We had the Haggis and chicken appetizers both of whixh were very tasty. Dinner was delicious and well portioned leaving you feeling satisfied. The sticky toffee pudding was delicious the chocolate cake was light and airy and the toffee pudding wad just the right amount as not to overpower it. And to tie it all together some vanilla ice cream. Overall great meal at a great price.

It is an excellent shop providing very tasty food and good service. We, two people, ordered three main dishes. The owner (I think) said that actually two main dishes may be enough. What a honest person! We order soup, steak, salmon, and the linguine. They are all very delicious especially the rib eye steak! Fig & Thistle is the second and the last shop I attended in Inverness, but she is the best shop I try here!

My Wife and I really enjoyed our time here. The atmosphere of the place is cozy and comfortable. Everyone from the staff was really nice too. The food though is incredible. We had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. A perfect char on the bottom of it that added flavor and texture. We also had the venison burger. The manager said they work with someone local that brings venison from the area. Given the freshness and taste, not surprising at all and highly recommend for something that rivals any great “albeit unique” burger I’ve had in the US. I also tried one of their old fashions. The food was very good. We had their special which was scallops and their green salad which was a nice variety of greens and well dressed. The service was good as long as the gentlemen (the boss) was present. We were next to the bar and the four young waitresses were looking and laughing as they looked at their phone for the longest time which was awkward for us. We opted not to order dessert because it took so long for them to clear our plates. I only mention this so this can be a lesson learned for these young ladies. Put your customer first before your phone.
