Great location for the tunnel and cheap for the night. Pet friendly also. The only downsides were the room smelled like animals and was incredibly hot during the heatwave. The floor upstairs was incredibly creeky and the people above us were up at 3am walking around for at least 30mins. England match was on also and even with the windows closed it was still very loud with people in the courtyard. Breakfast was to be left out for us early but they never did and the room as locked.

We had the most wonderful Mother’s Day carvery at the Conningbrook Hotel. It truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and perfect for such a special occasion. The carvery itself was absolutely outstanding. The selection of meats was cooked to perfection, tender, flavorful, and generously served. The vegetables were fresh and beautifully prepared, with plenty of choice for everyone, and the roast potatoes were exactly how they should be, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. We stayed here as a stopover before going to Le Shuttle early the next day. Great location for a stopover, check-in was smooth and easy, rooms very clean and nicely decorated…hotel rooms had a refurb in Sep ‘25. Good pub food as well. Early checkout was also easy with a drop key box for those leaving before reception is staffed. All in all for the price point we would definitely work this stop off into our travel plans for future France trips

We had such a lovely Mother’s Day at Conningbrook Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly and attentive They really made the whole experience feel special. The carvery was lovely. Everything was fully stocked, fresh, and delicious. There was a great selection. The quality of the food was spot on. Overall, it was a perfect way to celebrate Mother’s Day. Great atmosphere, fantastic service, and delicious food. We’ll definitely be coming back!
