​We had a fantastic Sunday lunch at The Griffin in Plumtree. It's a lovely, comfortable pub with a great atmosphere and a good selection of drinks, including some low/non-alcoholic options. The dining room itself is large and very comfortable. ​We had the lamb and our friends had the beef, and both were cooked to perfection - the quality of the meat really shone through, and the vegetables on the side were plentiful and cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, lunch time sandwiches were not a hit. Latte was lovely, however food was not worth the trip here. Me and my friend had spiced chicken tight flat bread & Harkers roast sirloin of beef baguette, chicken was not seasoned at all and mint and cucumber yoghurt sauce had no cucumber taste at all and mint was very slight, the only good thing about this was the flat bread. The fries that come with chicken flatbread were covered in paprika, it just tasted like powdered paprika and barely can taste the frie. Lovely place. Tasteful decor. Didn't eat there this time around but did enquire about gluten-free options which we have been advised they have many. Had an ale or two. Relaxing atmosphere with a warm ambiance.
