Years ago, one of my team was an ex-Chief Petty Officer. He introduced me to the Italian cafes and restaurants of London. I thought of him here. It is exactly what I expect of an Italian restaurant outside of Italy. In other words, excellent, friendly, atmospheric and you leave happier than when you walked in the door. I hate to say it, but I must have walked past this one many times en-route to the Somers Town Coffee House , but never when it was time to eat. I loved it. I called without booking on a Tuesday evening. Lovely warm welcome and a friendly, buzzy atmosphere. The food was wonderful. I had Bruschetta beautifully served and tasty. The tagliatelle puttanesca had just the right amount of chilli and flavour. A glass of Scillian wine, all in all a great meal. Thank you.

Pizza and pasta great. Tiramisu very runny. I would try again as it may have been that batch only, that they made. , Waitresses friendly but lack menu knowledge so weren't great at making suggestions. Atmosphere great. It's clearly a popular location so id suggest you book. I will definitely return as we enjoyed our main courses. With better food knowledge and a stiffer Tiramisu, the would get a 4 from me.
