# Caravan – Charred Tenderstem Broccoli & Sausage The charred tenderstem broccoli here is reason enough to come back. Properly blistered at the tips, glossed in chilli oil, and finished with fresh coriander and a scatter of sliced red chilli that brings genuine heat rather than just colour. Underneath, a couple of deeply caramelised sausages sat in a rich, almost buttery sauce — clearly built for the broccoli to mop up, and it did its job beautifully. Everything tasted like it had spent proper time over a hot grill: smoky, slightly bitter at the edges, balanced out by the sauce’s sweetness.

I am a big fan of Caravan and their King’s Cross location certainly lived up to expectations. The customer service was warm and attentive, and the menu is always exciting with plenty of tempting options to choose from. I went for the seasoned rice bowl with salmon, which was a real home run. It was full of flavour, perfectly balanced and very satisfying. The croquettes were also excellent and made a great starter. If I had one small note, the cornbread could have been a little more moist, but it certainly did not take away from what was otherwise a very enjoyable meal. A great dinner all round

Super tasty lunch spot. Fairly busy but still able to get a seat outside on a sunny Saturday. Food was delicious and the service was quick despite being nearly packed out. Highly recommend for lunch/brunch in Kings Cross

Really nice venue, with friendly and helpful service, food came out quick. On the whole the food was very good , small plates in particular I thought where good. Only downside was the pork schnitzel it was ok , but didn't hit the same mark as the other dishes. The prawn crackers best I've had and the lamb kebab croquettes were very good. Vegetarian dishes were lovely.
