We came all the way from Spain. After reading that this was the best place for fish and chips, we knew we had to try it, and the reviews were absolutely right! Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. They took the time to explain the menu, answered all our questions, and even recommended some lovely places nearby where we could sit and enjoy our meal. They were incredibly patient and made sure we had the best possible experience. They even offered to take a picture of us, which was such a thoughtful touch! Absolutely fantastic fish and chips every time. The fish is always fresh with light batter, and the chips are perfectly cooked. The staff are friendly, welcoming and provide excellent service, even when they’re busy. It’s clear they take great pride in the quality of their food and customer experience. Called here at lunchtime this Tuesday for a bite to eat. We were served by friendly people in this spotless takeaway. The cod was excellent as were the chips, good size portions, the peas and the tartare sauce were delicious. It's been 12years since our last visit to Lancaster, we called here then, and I'm pleased to say that the food is still excellent and value for money. Good to see that they do a smaller meal deal also. Highly recommended.

Popped into Hodgson’s Chippy and it didn’t disappoint! The chips were spot on — really tasty and perfectly cooked. We got chips for the whole family along with their super tasty curry, and everything was delicious. The shop was spotless too — you can tell they take real pride in what they do. Highly recommend!
