First time eating at the New Conservatory and went for the set menu of chicken liver parfait and to follow, steak and ale pie. The pie was full of shredded meat, no gristle and plenty of gravy to drizzle over lovely chunky wedges! Really impressed. Lovely food. Good portions. Brilliant service. We will be returning. Plus, they allow dogs, so we will bring our pooch with us next time.

Not one to leave reviews so often but 10/10. We had the Sunday roast and a pudding each and everything was amazing, really tasty food which didn’t just taste of one thing, everything had its own taste on the plate. We had a coeliac in the group and staff were more than helpful when questions were being asked, they went to the chef to double check things a few times rather than just telling us no which we hear quite often in restaurants. Had a lovely Sunday roast here. The food was great quality, well prepared and tasty. The roast was tender and came with extra gravy on the side (love), carrots, swede and parsnips. All good but would’ve been nice to include some greens. We ordered an extra cauliflower cheese to share. It was perfect. Service & atmosphere wonderful!
