I have been eating here for four years and the food is consistently delicious, especially the chicken fillet. However, during my last two visits, I noticed that the portion size of the side dishes has significantly decreased. I hope this can be improved.

I hadn’t visited Kokoro Leicester in a while and decided to try the beef galbi. The portion was very disappointing, with very little beef, and I was even served an empty bone. When I raised this, the older staff member serving me told me it was “part of it” and that I could “suck the bone,” which felt dismissive and inappropriate for a paid meal. For the price, I expected better value. This experience has put me off returning.

We have been dining at the Kokoro branch in Wimbledon for years and recently moved away from London. Visiting Leicester we found another branch of Kokoro and it lived up to expectation. The food is great; piping hot, crispy chicken and lovely katzu curry. Plenty of sides are available including spring rolls, gyuko and more. Great assortment of cold drinks and everything is reasonably priced and clear. There is clear brand consistency as the restaurant looks and feels like the others we had been too.
