I ordered via just eat, so paid more for the food than would over the counter, this is expected when ordering via an app but I expect to get what I paid for. I ordered a regular fish at £8.35, when I opened the fish I was confused due to its size, I double checked the bag to see if I’d missed something and had to double check my order on the app to confirm I did order a regular fish and not a small. Upon arriving at Pennington Plaice, I found parking down a side street, then across the road, I noticed a large plot where a mobile fairground was being set up, offering ample parking on gravel and grass, so I parked there instead. Upon entering the shop, I was greeted by staff who were helpful, polite, and smartly dressed in uniforms. The cleanliness of the shop was impeccable, and while the menu was not extensive, it included all the essentials one would expect from a good traditional fish and chip shop, which suited my preferences perfectly. Thank Pennington Place for redirecting my food order last night. I ordered my food whilst I was on my way home and rather than having the option to direct to my home UBER directed the driver to the place where I was. I like to think I'm a chip connoisseur. Every place I visit, no pun , I try the local chip shop for lunch and have been doing so for the last 25 years .
