We had a wonderful dining experience at Antonello's. We started with the stuffed mushrooms and the Italian mussels from the specials board. Both starters arrived piping hot and tasted absolutely amazing. For our main, we shared a pizza that was excellent, fresh, and loaded with plenty of toppings. If a pizza has a lot of toppings on it, it usually tastes better, and this one had plenty. It was a very good pizza. To finish, we had a dessert. A local disaster! We won’t be returning. Antonello’s restaurant has always had a bumpy reputation but after the new management takeover in Nov 2023 we decided to try the restaurant again. What we ordered; - Mushrooms with Stilton - Creamy vegetarian pasta - Spicy tomato garlic bread What we were served - and sent straight back; - Chicken livers ❌ - Creamy vegetarian pasta ✅ - Spicy cheese garlic bread ❌ On top of the food errors, the restaurant was dirty throughout; cutlery, plates, glasses, toilets. Really great food and lovely coffee and the staff are lovely. Wish they opened at lunch times even just for a couple of hours with reduced menus. (Glad to see opening on Sunday lunchtime now!)
