We visited this Chinese restaurant for a birthday celebration as a group of nine. Initially, we were greeted warmly, and everything seemed fine. Unfortunately, our experience quickly changed once our orders were being taken. The waiter was quite rude, repeatedly telling our table to “be quiet” and “shush” while people were naturally chatting amongst themselves. We chanced an early walk in without booking mid week and we pretty much had the place to ourselves for a while, though it quickly began filling up as we were leaving. It's always quiet a popular place and honestly the food and service are wonderful. We opted for the two people set menu and the only reason we were able to finish it all was because we hadn't eaten anything all day! The food was hot and fresh, with a good selection of starters, and none of the excessive grease you can get in some takeaway places. Service was okay , but a language barrier evident. Girl who was taking orders was lovely. Food was soaked in MSG and salt , was not edible at all. It almost burnt my throat. I had multiple dishes from Sweet and sour to Duck and mushroom. Terrible main meals . The Yuk Sung was not edible due too way way too much salt which must be MSG. Very dissatisfied. 25 years ago I would eat here every weekend and have beautiful food. Now it’s just salt and MSG. I do not recommend to eat here

I ordered house special fried rice, and it was not as I've ever had it. More like boiled rice with mixed meats and veggies. Tried to contact them to ask, but not reply to my email, hence 1star. Wouldn't order the house special fried rice with sauce, it was nearly twice the price of any other local restaurants. Don't like leaving bad reviews, but just to make people aware this was not nice. Hope they get it sorted. Also looked like not much care went into prep of the chow mein we had.
