Toilets always disgusting in this place. Iced coffees taste like water because whole milk is clearly not the standard which it should be for coffee (unless other requested), and too much syrup is always put in the drinks making it taste too chemicall-y and sweet. Cafe Nero has gone downhill in general, but this particular establishment in Macclesfield has also seemingly gone downhill with cleaning standards too. It's a lovely building, could have a lot of potential to shine if cleaned and looked after..high ceiling full of cobwebs.

Depending on who's on shift depends on the level of expertise and standard of service you can expect. Usually if baristas only are on duty you will have a much better experience than if the Manager is on shift. In that instance, expect the outdoor area to be poorly set up, and the overall quality of service to be poor at best.

Truly amazing spot right in the heart of the town centre! A beautiful cafe looking out onto centre square through massive windows ! Tables & chairs outside if you fancy alfresco it does make you feel your on a Piazza in Rome ! Surrounded by the cobble streets & amazing buildings & beautiful church with a court yard if you want you can take your coffee & snack there on sit on the grass ! We all know coffee is amazing! Why 4 stars they clear the tables fast enough as this is a problem in many cafes in the Uk ! Just some one to this job ! Location location & location!
