Had to wait 30 mins. Really friendly staff. Tried haddock with chips and cod with chips. Portion is big. Make sure you order curry sauce as well. Reasonable price given the quality and freshness of fish. Crispy batter and tasty fish. The vinegar and salt taste was mild though. 1967. So old and established 👍🏻

Travelled from far to have some 'great fish and chips' and stupidly we believed those raving reviews. My friend and I both had Haddock and Chips, and although the price was great (c. £7.99), the service friendly and the location pretty neat, we both thought the flavour of the fish was pretty dire, mainly because the batter was just dripping in oil, and it was not a nice tasting oil either. It left a very unpleasant flavour in the mouth, and after our meal we were dying to eat or drink something else to take that flavour away. I take my fish and chips seriously and I will say this is the best quality and value fish and chips I’ve had in a long time - delicious and so reasonably priced! Just enough portion wise that we all finished it but weren’t uncomfortably full. There aren’t many places where you can still get a decent portion of fish and chips for only £6.95! The way it should be enjoyed :)

When it had started to rain, the staffs were kind enough to inform us about an indoor seating for us to continue having our meals.
