Karak Chai’s student deals are super affordable! - literally cheaper than your average burger meal and properly filling! There are three deals. We went for: 🔥 Deal 1: Rajma, rice, roti, pickle and papadom 🔥 Deal 2: Shahi paneer, rice and salad They definitely brought the heat 🥵 (in the best way!) The staff are so welcoming, the atmosphere is warm and the decor is a whole vibe - neon lights, a massive water feature, everything! ✨ And the chai… soft, sweet and hands down the best we’ve had! The perfect balance to all that spice!

The service was very much lacking. We weren’t seated to a table, the staff seem unbothered. There was no follow up to ask how the food was when the food was given either which I found so odd! That’s a basic thing to do. The food came in good time and was presented well. However, the menu doesn’t match the food served. The Tikki masala roll was supposed to be served in a paratha but it came in what appeared to be a packet naan. I did prefer this over the pasta dish though. After a long day of travelling from Ireland to Middlesbrough we found this absolute gem of a place on a casual stroll In search of somewhere to eat. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, service was fantastic from the start. The food was absolutely delicious and such good value for money. We will definitely be back on our next visit.
