The food was generally just ok we ordered toasted ciabatta’s and they were just like warm soft buns, they weren’t toasted and the fillings were sparse and tasteless with little cheese inside, the salad garnish was dry just needed a little dressing, its disappointing because they have a really good menu but the execution isn’t good enough, the drinks were fine and the cakes were ok, the lemon meringue pie wasn’t really meringue it was soft and wobbly, the other lemon cake was tasty and soft. We recently visited Baker Street Kitchen in Middlesbrough and had a really nice experience overall. The café has a spacious, quiet, and relaxed atmosphere, which makes it a great place to work, meet friends, or enjoy a calm breakfast. Can’t recommend this place enough, the staff are always so lovely and welcome, the cafe is stunning and so cosy and the food and drink options are so varied and tasty. Looks inviting from the outside and inside it feels warm, cosyish and has plenty of seating for all types. Busy on a Sunday morning but spacious and spread out enough it's not going to feel crowded. The menu looks excellent and I went for the chorizo and halloumi hash which was delicious and not too expensive. Decent sized pot of tea. The cakes behind the counter look great (if only I had been more hungry). The service was efficient and friendly.
