Very happy to have chose this eatery. Staff are very friendly, chatty and welcoming. Place is child friendly, nice beer selection and food that is worth the price. Burgers were served with a very generous portion of fries. Oh the place also has a substantial beer garden. Short walk from beach. Parking available nearby.

I had a great evening at Portobello Tap. The atmosphere is really cosy and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed night out. What stood out the most was the German beer on tap – absolutely top quality and full of flavour. You can tell they take pride in their selection. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the whole place had a nice, laid-back vibe. If they had fried chicken wings on the menu, it would be absolutely perfect! If you’re into good beer, especially German brews, this spot is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be coming back for sure!

This place had *everything* we didn’t know we needed: cute, pettable dogs, ice-cold beer, and burgers DONE. RIGHT. Juicy, perfectly seasoned, and portioned to satisfy (though we were left craving just one more bite for the taste). We were happy to have stumbled upon this gem during our visit to Edinburgh. The atmosphere was relaxed yet buzzing, the staff were friendly, and the whole experience felt like a warm hug wrapped in brioche with butter :) If you're in town, do yourself a favour and drop by. You’ll leave full, happy, and probably with a few new furry friends.
