What a gem of a place. Unfortunately I don't get to the southside that often but will make this my new spot for brekky whenever I do. Went in for a coffee and ended up getting some food as menu seemed interesting. Had the potato dish they offer with eggs, comes with lovely homemade ketchup - Very very nice. Tucked in as was famished so not a great picture of it.. Excellent coffee and excellent music. Deserves to be very busy, food is excellent and lovely couple who run it.

When we stumbled across this place on Google Maps after travelling up from Durham for a gig - and being massive Springsteen fans - we just had to go! We weren't disappointed either. Springsteen tunes were playing (including requests) plenty of memorabilia in the place, great coffee (nice and strong) and a fab breakfast. The owner was working and was really friendly and had a good chat with us. Even if you're not a Boss fan - well worth a visit for the black pudding and coffee alone! Will definitely be back if we're back up that way.
