I was disappointed with the cafe tbh. My husband and I paid £26.00 for a bacon sandwich, (hardly any bacon), avocado/poached egg on toast, a cup of tea and a latte. I politely asked for a hard yolk in my egg, which seemed a real issue for the till lady, Considering it was costing me £11.00 I felt I had the right to request my preference, unfortunately, it didn't go down well for some bizzare reason and resulted in her slightly mocking me in front of the staff and my husband. Really different ftom most garden centres with interesting displays including a morris minor car. The Emporium is fantastic too, like a treasure hunt but indoors

Review of the tea rooms specifically. The food was very nice but when I asked for one portion of jacket potato with prawns to share, I was told this ‘wasn’t allowed’. I could have justifying my reasoning for requesting this but chose not to.. as I have never had this requirement declined anywhere else. The gluten free options were very good however.
