Decent burger - very tasty, juicy patty and not greasy at all. Excellent sized portion of chips. Very casual dining atmosphere - only 6 seats, so some people may prefer take away but we wanted to eat it hot fresh. I just had a cheeseburger but they offer many variations!Would recommend!

There's a reason it's been around for Decades! Yummy burgers, reasonable price. All freshly cooked and flame grilled. Love the 6oz steak burger option, hits a sweet spot. If your hungry, two 1/4 pounders should fill any hole with the 8oz option. Some great flavour combos, love the blue cheese burgers. Why not go the whole hog and have the loaded frys too! I've paid more at Macdonald's for something nowhere near as nice, these are head and shoulders better than a Mackie's. Ditch the Burger King and give Rio's a try. You won't regret it.

Burger shack down an alleyway off Bartholomew Rd. Owner was friendly and helpful. Lots of takeaway biz going on, but there were three small tables for dine-ins. Three choices of patty size & quality, 4oz, 8oz (x2) and a 6oz Angus to keep prices down. Large range of variations for this who are into that, but I don’t tend to like bacon & cheese. They custom-built my double 4oz patty with lettuce, gherkins, onion, tomato and burger sauce. These guys know how to cook an average patty so it’s juicy and to properly build a burger. We used to love rios back before COVID. We had been maybe once since and have just moved house, meaning its a lot closer to us. Fancied a burger and it sprung to mind. I had checked reviews and saw it had a mixed bag lately, awful on trustpilot but pretty good on Google so I thought it was worth giving a chance to. I do regret it now. The burgers weren't 1 star, but they weren't as good as 'mediocre' either. Burnt and dry with minimal "flame grilled" flavour. The bun was difficult to distinguish between stale or cooked for too long, but in any case wasn't pleasant. (Positive - bacon was nice).
