Relatively quiet when we arrived, late ish on Sunday afternoon. Welcomed by staff and served quickly. There was a queue of about 8 people ordering yake away drinks.. we ordered some hot rolls which were brought to our table when ready. Food was usual costa quality as were the drinks. Upon leaving one of the staff quickly came over to open and hold the door open to get the wheelchair through. V helpful thank you

The good thing is the location The disappointment it was ordering two latte, two berries smoothies, four fudge cakes. All together 28£ 😬🫣🫣 not a problem if the latte wouldn't be milk taste only. I was watching the lady making the latte drinks and thinking " hopefully they are not mine" they were....... 🫤

£9.10 for Two drinks ??? Hot chocolate should be called a cold chocolate and I wasn’t advised the cream and marshmallows cost £0.65 extra (EACH) ! There were 3 huge marshmallows in the cold chocolate and when I ate them my drink was LESS than half cup, literally 1/4 was the actual drink. It is embarrassing a big chain like this, charged you almost 6£ for a ridiculous drink, and cold. The flat white was okay. I will never come back , and if you don’t want to throw away your money then you shouldn’t either. Great way to ruin someone’s Saturday morning.

I had a very disappointing experience with the Chocolate Fudge Café at the Costa in North Shields. I’ve tried this drink at other Costa locations, and it’s usually made really well. Unfortunately, the version I received here was poorly prepared. It seems like the staff at this branch are not properly trained in making coffee—they’re just throwing things together and serving it. Definitely not up to Costa’s usual standards.
