Popped in on work day Tues afternoon for a quick bite. Only ordered a chicken burger and a lite bite. Gave order and sat down, didn't seem very busy. After 10 mins was informed the lite bite was not available so swapped it for something else. Waited another 30 minutes for it to arrive. I said it would have been useful to be told the waiting time in advance for such a small order. It was inedible and dry overcooked in oil that needed changing. Very poor quality I'm afraid.

We visited the Anderton Boat Lift on a sunny Saturday morning (22 Feb) and discovered this gem of a pub just a short stroll across the bridge. We hadn't booked which is always a risk and we hadn't looked at reviews before arriving. We were greeted with a warm smile and asked to choose a seat and they would bring the menus and drinks we just ordered over. We had a table with a view of the large beer garden.
