I visited this café for the first time today, and unfortunately my initial impression wasn’t great. I stood at the counter for several minutes before the staff member acknowledged me. I understand she was busy, but even a quick greeting would have made me feel more welcome. I came because a friend recommended the cakes, but there were only two options available, which was a bit disappointing. On the positive side, my latte was absolutely delicious — definitely the highlight of my visit. Despite the rocky start, I would give this café another try.

Nice spot for a coffee in Newhall. The flat white was smooth and well made, and the sausage roll was freshly baked with good flavour. I wanted to try the breakfast but they weren’t serving any hot meals from the menu, which was a bit disappointing as it was Saturday morning around 10am. The place itself has a cosy feel and a good mix of people coming in for coffee. Service was friendly and quick. Only downside is that there’s no phone signal inside, though that’s probably expected in this new development. Still, a good local café and worth stopping by for coffee and a pastry.

We hired out Coffee Base for my dad’s 60th birthday celebration, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The staff went above and beyond, including helping me set up decorations and putting so much care and effort into every detail of the day. The afternoon tea was absolutely lovely, beautifully presented and delicious. The team thoughtfully catered to everyone, including vegetarian and vegan guests, fussier eaters, and even offered special options for the children. Terrible experience, waited 15 minutes for my order just to handed the worst drinks, the chai latte was way too sweet and cold. Had ordered a pastry which was also given to me straight from the freezer.
