It was not only my first visit to Shogun, but also my first experience with a Poke bowl. What an experience it was! But first, the restaurant is a small cozy authentic Japanese restaurant with a lovely selection of 'Japas' (Japanese Tapas for the confused of you) to wet your appetite. The salt and pepper chicken wings were deliciously crispy, spicy and moist, I highly recommend. Once the Japas has been devoured you can pick up your chopsticks and move to your main. everytime i have been here, it’s never disappointed me. I’ve tried multiple ramens, sushi ect. My first time trying katsu curry from here and it was amazing. The salt and pepper chicken wings really stole the show. I’ve never had better chicken wings in my life. My partner had the curry ramen (another favourite of mine) and it was all so delicious i cannot recommend coming here more!

We came here for dinner on a Friday evening. We tried to book a table online however the feature has been disabled. The restaurant had 20 seating inside and some outside, however they fill up very quickly. We luckily timed it well that we had a table as we walked in. The restaurant is a family business. Father, son and Mum were cooking in the kitchen whilst daughter was taking orders and running plates. Mum would join the floor as and when she was needed. The service is quick. We're decisive people so we had our starter and mains and we were out in less than 90 minutes. The food was very good

Super cute spot, in theory I should gatekeep but honestly that wouldn't be fair. Great portion sizes, a very diverse menu (veggie and vegan options). Just genuinely good food and the waitress was sweet too 😊
