My mum and I visited Edamame while we were in Oxford. As it was her first trip to the UK, she had started to miss Japanese food, so finding this lovely restaurant was such a treat. The home-style Japanese cooking was delicious, and the cosy atmosphere reminded us of a traditional Japanese set-meal restaurant back home. It instantly made us feel at ease. It was also lovely to be welcomed by Japanese staff, which made my mum feel especially comfortable and at home. Thank you for such a wonderful meal and your warm hospitality. We’d love to come back the next time we’re in Oxford.

We had such a fantastic meal here recently. The quality of the food was outstanding, and everything looked beautifully presented on the black plates. We particularly enjoyed the variety of hand rolls and nigiri. The eel nigiri topped with sesame seeds was a highlight of our dinner. It is a wonderful spot for anyone who loves fresh sushi and a relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely amazing! We went on Thursday (sushi night) and asked the waitress for recommendations, she brought out an amazing selection of delicious things. We also had the miso soup, which we really rated. The meal was amazing. Definitely on the pricey side but there were plenty of cheaper options.

Food was excellent. The workers and owner were Japanese and I knew it would be authentic food. There was a short queue for lunch. The workers were so nice! Place is small not recommended for large groups. Came here with my two toddlers and they were very accommodating.
